What farm would be complete without at least a couple of good dogs running about?  We've never been without dogs around here.  

1993 - 2007 Heinz 57 Model

This is Shelby who was the absolute best dog I think we've ever had the pleasure of sharing our home with.  Unfortunately, age caught up with her, as we knew it would, and we humanely euthanized her here at home this past summer.  She went on ahead of us to wait for us with those who we miss and will see again one day when our time has come to move on...Good hunting Shelby dog, I miss you old girl...

2007 Black Lab

Definitely my husband's dog - she and I tolerate each other but that's about it!  Not much of a farm dog - she doesn't bark at strangers, steals the chicken eggs and brings some of the nastiest things into the house when you aren't looking...

But hey, the kids like to play with her and I guess that should count for something!
