Pepper was our second Talk About Tardee filly out of our mare Cherokee Eyes.  She was born on her due date of January 2nd at about 4:30 in the morning, and it was quite the cold morning!!  Unlike most of our foals that have a thick baby coat at birth, she was born without a winter coat, just a nice, perfect show coat!  We made an emergency run to the tack shop for a baby blanket...

Pepper had a very successful start in showing her weanling year and gained points in both Halter and Most Colorful.  Her yearling year slowed down a bit, as she didn't grow as fast as her peers and had problems resulting from picking up a nail in her front foot while out in the pasture.  By two, she was a little tank, but did not get very tall, unlike her sister.  Despite that, she is nicely balanced and well-muscled, and will make a great youth horse with her temperament and easy personality.

 We hope to start her under saddle as time allows.  With her disposition, she might show back up in the arena for leadline classes here in the near future!
